For most of us, it’s a no-brainer that we should be eating less fatty foods, but it is often difficult to see the link between that and our health. The foods that we eat can be filled with unhealthy ingredients and additives, such as high fructose corn syrup, or high levels of preservatives and artificial flavors. It can be hard to see the connection between these unhealthy trends and how we can actually use them to stay healthier.

The infographic above is a good example of why you should be eating more fruits, vegetables, and protein in your diet. It’s about half the size of the infographic in this article, but it’s packed full of some very good research and information.

I find it interesting how many of us seem to have an unhealthy relationship with the words “healthy,” “frugal,” or “green-chick.” We don’t seem to like the words “healthy” very much, and “green-chick” is pretty much just a synonym for “green food.” The infographic above is a good example of what it means to have a healthy relationship with these words. Eating a lot of fruits and veggies is a great way to stay healthy.
