Well, we know that the ability to do what we want when we want is one of the most valuable things in the world. We also know that the ability to do what we want when we want is not a part of the average person’s budget. But, you tell me that this is what most people want.
It’s not actually the most stolen item in the world, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t valuable. As we just spent two days researching our first Assassin’s Creed game, it’s hard to imagine the game wouldn’t be worth the amount of money it would cost (we’d probably play it for the free DLC).
Its a matter of what is valuable when it comes to games. I think its safe to say that money is not the most important thing to most people, which is why the game you buy for yourself is a little extra important. And the only other thing that is really worth that money is the ability to do what we want to do when we want when we want.
The only thing that matters in most games is the main character. The real money in most games is the multiplayer. If that money is not also a part of the gameplay, then we are getting more than what we pay for it.

In fact, there is only one game I can think of that is based solely on this model. That is the game that is made by the same company that makes the online poker/casino.
